Born and raised in California, color, light, and the human condition have always been in the forefront of my work. The creative force came to me early and I have spent the last 40 years training my eyes not just to look but to see, not just feel but express, and to portray my ideas in a universal way. My mission as an artist is to evoke the human spirit thru my artistic vision, and awaken the subconscious of the viewer. The viewer will not always have the same experience or emotional content that an artist might be trying to portray. An artist should paint to evoke the viewers reaction, not always to seek there approval. My job as an artist is to bring the viewer to a new place or bring them back to a place already experienced.
